SOFLO FITNESS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND RUNS

The official start of summer is Memorial Day weekend, and South Florida runners can celebrate with races throughout the area.

The Average Joe Run rewards the recreational runners with a unique race where the winner finishes in the middle! The run begins in Davie, FL at 7:30 am in Vista View Park. Run for the competition, or just for the coffee and donuts at the finish! Information and registration at

The City of Weston celebrates each year with the Memorial Day 5K Classic. The pre-race packet pickup is scheduled Sunday, May 26^th from Noon through 5:00 pm at the Dick’s Sporting Goods location in Sunrise at Sawgrass Mills.  The race begins at 7:15 Memorial Day morning at Weston Town Center as you join hundreds of runners and the City of Weston in honoring the men and women of our armed forces.

The Memorial Day Apple Pie 5K and Ice Cream Mile begins at 7:00 am at the YMCA in Boca Raton. In lieu of medals, runners receive Apple Pie and Ice Cream at the finish! Packet pickup is scheduled May 20^th through May 25^th at the Runner’s Edge store in Boca Raton, and on race morning at the Y. Please be aware, there will be no packet pickup Sunday, May 26^th.
